Getting to Know Mandy
My work is a celebration of nature, with a particular emphasis on botanicals. While I enjoy exploring a variety of mediums and subject matters, oil painting is where my true passion lies. My style is distinctly my own—no matter how much I experiment; my work always carries a recognizable signature. I gravitate toward macro realism in my compositions, inviting viewers to see gardens and natural subjects from a fresh, often unexpected perspective. I use shadows and depth of field to create a sense of dynamic, three-dimensional space, blurring the line between realism and abstraction. Through smooth, intentional brushstrokes, I aim to capture the beauty, energy, and vibrant movement that thrive in my garden.
Beyond botanicals, I am also a passionate dog owner, and I love painting them. I have found that a dog's eyes are the key to their soul. If it's a new puppy coming into your home or a memorial piece, I always welcome the opportunity to paint a furry friend. I find it brings joy to a home and a heart.
In July of 2022, I was blessed with an opportunity to be a Minted Artist. My originals can be found on Minted.com as well as print opportunities. My work is featured on Samsung's "The Frame" TV and shown in Hotels around the Country. Additional licensing opportunities are available direct through the artist.
